The Colonial Era of Nagpur

Our city Nagpur was founded by the Gond rulers of Deogarh and later it came under the rule of Nagpur Bhonsles. The British conquests from the Marathas in central India, earmarked the dawn of British Raj in the Central India. Our city Nagpur being located geographically at the center was the Capital of Central Provinces & Berar.

Like many cities of the sub-continent, Civil Lines was developed even in Nagpur. The area being developed during and by British Raj, it is majorly dominated by the grand & beautiful buildings in the colonial style. Let’s walk back in the time, through the places that are the spectators of this era, and take a glimpse of these structures.
