About the event
Marbat, the historical festival unique to Nagpur is celebrated every year at the end of the Shravan month. In this walkwe shall see & know the two important Marbats Kaali (in hindi) meaning Black & Peeli (in hindi) meaning yellow colour. They derive their names from the colours that they are made up in. We shall know the complete history, story and also the making of these two large effigies.
It is an experience to witness the Milan of these two Marbats (Kaali & Peeli) in the old city, post which a procession is taken out that carries these Marbats all around the city, happening on the day of Tanha Pola.
